In a new interview with The Sunday Times, the 58-year-old Canadian beauty talked about her plans to find love again and said she is “not interested” in dating.
According to Evangelista, she no longer wants to sleep with anyone. “I don’t want to hear someone breathing.”
“Definitely before the Cool-Sculpting,” the famous model said about the fat-loss treatment that she said left her “permanently deformed” and “brutally disfigured” after sessions from August 2015 to February 2016.
Evangelista was married to Gérald Marie, who used to run the Paris office of Elite Model Management. They got married when she was 22 and he was 37, in 1987. They split up in 1993.
“I had no idea. Completely lost…”There had to be something cute about it for them to fall in love,” Evangelista said of the relationship.
In September, the Apple TV+ documentary series The Super Models began airing. In it, Evangelista said that her ex-husband abused her physically while they were married. Following claims of sexual misconduct and rape against Marie by over a dozen women in 2020, the fashion star said on the show that she felt compelled to act.
At the time, Marie’s lawyer, Céline Bekerman, told PEOPLE that all of the claims were false.
At the time, Evangelista told The Sunday Times that she didn’t tell anyone about the claimed abuse because she was “afraid” and “doesn’t know” if anyone else knew. The money she made from modeling was spent on “getting out” of her marriage, which she said meant “everything” to her.
Evangelista also talked about being a mom in the interview. She talked about her 17-year-old son Augustin James Evangelista, whom she has with her ex-partner, the French investor Francois-Henri Pinault.
According to The Sunday Times, the model sued Pinault, 61, for child support in 2011. As of now, Evangelista told the news source that her relationship with the father of her child and his wife, actress Salma Hayek Pinault, has “worked out.”
